Singaraja – In commemoration of the 95th Youth Pledge Day, the Undiksha Faculty of Sports and Health (FOK) again held the 3rd Undiksha Run with the theme “Recharge With Nature” on Saturday (28/10/2023) morning. The sport, which started and finished at the Undiksha Jineng Dalem campus, was attended by 550 participants from various circles and from various regions.

The distance traveled this time for the Undiksha Run was 7 kilometers, taking a route through 3 villages, namely Jineng Dalem Village, Poh Bergong Village, and Analisgker Village. The enthusiasm of the participants consisting of the general categories of men and women was very visible from the start. Everyone started the run and finished well.

Dean of FOK Undikha, Dr. I Ketut Yoda, S.Pd., M.Or., and his staff also participated in this event until the end. The opening of this year’s Undiksha Run was opened directly by Mr. Wr II Undiksha, Mr. Prof. Dr. I Wayan Artanayasa, S.Pd., M.Pd. He conveyed this activity to further introduce FOK Undiksha to the community. Apart from that, it is also to promote sports and exercise in the community. “Exercise is the spearhead of personal health,” he said.

It was further stated that running was chosen for no other reason than because it is a cheap, cheerful, and mass sport. “This means that without spending a lot of money you can participate in this activity well,”.

He was proud of the enthusiasm of the participants to take part in this activity, especially since there were participants from outside the district and even national athletes who also took part. In the future, he hopes that events like this can be held regularly by Undiksha with participants from all walks of life.
This year’s Undiksha Run in the men’s category was won by 1st place Amram Naftali Topat (Pandawa Athletic Club, Gianyar), 2nd place was Putu Andika Adryawan (PASI Buleleng), 3rd place was Nyoman Karmayasa (PASI Tabanan) and the women’s category was won by 1st place Ni Ketut Cita (PASI Buleleng), 2nd place Soliani Tse (Pandawa Athletic Club), and 3rd place Gusti Komang Desi Ariyaningsih (PASI Buleleng).
